Grocery Bag Blocks

For families with 1- to 5-year-olds Materials     • Old newspapers     • Paper grocery bags     • Masking tape How to Play #1  Fold over the edge of an unopened grocery bag two to three inches and crease.  Open the bag. #2  Wad up at least ten sheets of newspaper in loose balls and stuff them into the open bag. #3  Close the bag along the crease and tape securely with masking tape.  Pat into a block shape. #4  Repeat for each block.  Different sizes of the bags can be used to give a variety of building materials. #5  Use the blocks to build forts, walls, castles, or any other structure.  Have fun knocking the blocks down and starting all over again.
